ENGLISH NAMES OF SOME LOCAL ZAMBIAN FOOD AND DISHES

 Have you ever wondered what some Zambian foods or fruits are called in English? Here are what some foods are called in English; 1. MPHONDA MPHONDA is called GOURD in English. The Gourd is mostly eaten cooked and some people even mix it with sugar. It's commonly sold in the cold season. MPHONDA is part of the Calabash family of plants. 2. CHIKANDA CHIKANDA is called AFRICAN POLONY in English. The Bemba people are credited for inventing CHIKANDA. It's sold on the streets  with chilli sauce or soup. 3.
